The older the car, the fewer electronic components it will have and the easier the conversion will be.\n\nAs batteries are still the most important item in a conversion project, in terms of weight and cost, the only way to minimise this is to install as few batteries as possible, and this is achieved today by converting a car that needs little power to run, therefore it will need fewer batteries.\n\nAnother advantage of this philosophy is the financial cost of the project. An older car will always cost less, than the same equivalent two years old.
