The older the car, the fewer electronic components it will have and the easier the conversion will be. As batteries are still the most important item in a conversion project, in terms of weight and cost, the only way to minimise this is to install as few batteries as possible, and this is achieved today by converting a car that needs little power to run, therefore it will need fewer batteries.
